About

My name is Deborah Goodman and I live in Edenton, NC.  I am the Instructional Technologist at DF Walker Elementary, a 3rd through 5th grade school located in Northeastern NC. I prefer the title, Technology Coach as I provide support to staff and students as they implement new technologies in the classroom. My role is to help plan, teach and assess integrated units of instruction, many of them project based approaches to learning.

I am also an Intel Teach Senior Instructor for NC. I conduct various Intel Teach courses to educators in NC; Intel Teach Essentials, Thinking with Technology, and Elements: Project Based Approaches.

This is an exciting time to be in education. There are so many online tools that allow us to connect, communicate and collaborate with experts and other educators around the globe. We are no longer isolated within our own classrooms and communities. We can now get information 24/7 and bring those experts into our classrooms virtually.

I hope to use my blog to share strategies and resources for implementing many of these tools. I hope that you will use the comment feature to provide your expert advise on use of these tools as well.
